Clinton, Iowa, December 2, 2011 – McEleney Chevrolet Buick GMC Toyota hopes to make the season brighter by providing $2000 to cover the cost of the vandalism at Eagle Point Park to the Jaycees’ annual Symphony of Lights.
A $2000 check was presented today by John McEleney, President McEleney Chevrolet-Buick-GMC-Toyota to Louise Laurent, Treasurer Clinton Symphony of Lights and Ryan Steines, President Clinton Jaycees to offset the cost of restoring the display following the recent vandalism.
"Every year, the holidays provide an opportunity for us to show our gratitude to our community for their continued partnership throughout the year," said John McEleney. "With the challenging economy, there is more need this holiday season. When we saw the opportunity to make a contribution in our community that would ultimately impact so many individuals, the decision to make a donation was simple."
“We’re delighted to support the important work of Clinton Jaycees and maintain such a time honored tradition in Clinton," shared McEleney. “We thought it would be good to do something that would allow us to share the real meaning of the season with others. In the heart of the Christmas season, we hope this contribution will add to the holiday joy in our community.”
