• Did your teen recently receive a driving permit — or will in the next 2 months? Then you’ll want to sign up for AAA’s free StartSmart program!


What is StartSmart?  The StartSmart program helps families get through the crucial period when teens are learning to drive.  A Series of newsletters helps you identify the challenges you and your teen will face and how to work as a team to reduce risk. 
How does it work?  Once you sign up, you will receive a series of e-newsletters focused on topics related to teen driver safety and parent involvement.  StartSmart consists of 18 newsletters addressing topics such as:
·         Driving at night
·         Conducting supervised driving
·         Distractions
·         Using a Parent-Teen Driving Agreement
Who should sign up? You should sign up if your teen (A) already has his/her Learner’s Permit, or (B) is within 2 months of receiving his/her Learner’s Permit.
